I’m Neil. I’m a graduate student in computer science in the CGAR lab at the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada; and also employed as a research engineer at Kinsol Research. My specialty is mechatronics and embedded systems. For my master’s thesis I am developing a low-cost underwater robot aimed at the research and education communities, as well as a path-planning algorithm for underwater environments.
This web site is the log book for my master’s project and other projects that I’ve got my hand in, as well as a repository for some of my past work. There’s also a lab guide so that the students who take the mechatronics labs I teach can RTFM.
